Gary L. Pangrazzi, 83, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Iron River Care Center.
He was born on January 3, 1943, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Louis and Helen (Yoki) Pangrazzi. He attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1960.
Gary married Teresa Marcell on May 26, 1962, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River. They celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this year.
He was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic for Schinella-Mottes Construction for many years. Gary was a member of Operating Engineer Local 324 and the Iron Range Trail Club. He enjoyed snowmobiling, autobody work, going on family adventures in his dune buggy, playing cards with friends and family, telling a good joke or story, spending time with his family and grandchildren and most of all, spending time at his camp at Marten Lake.
Gary is survived by his wife, Teresa; son, Gary “Buddy” and daughter-in-law, Sherry Pangrazzi of Iron River; daughter, Deann Pangrazzi and son-in-law, Michael Hebert of Gwinn, MI and Dr. Elizabeth “Lisa” Pangrazzi of Iron River, MI; sisters, Shirley Gasperini of Iron Mountain, MI, Beverly (David) Soderbloom of Quinnesec, MI, and Patricia (Andrew) Pregler of Vadnais Heights, MN; grandchildren, Tina (Justin) Brey, Lacey (Brian) Smet, Libby Mundell, Leslie (fiancé Alex Bolish) Mundell, Samantha (Michael) Kemp, Nathan Rake, Capt. Andrea (Jonathan Yang) Rake, USAF, Emilie (Bryce Tabat) Rake, and Olivia (Josh Ranalli) Rake; great-grandchildren, Payton and Hayden Brey; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Richard Pangrazzi and infant twins, Keith and Kenneth Pangrazzi and his in-laws, Tom and Ann Marcell.
Private family services will be held.
Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
