Gary Thomas "Tom" Schwenn

Gary Thomas “Tom” Schwenn, age 70, of Long Lake, WI, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the William S. Middleton Memorial VA Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He was born October 18, 1946 in Black Diamond, WA, the son of the late Ruey and Mary Ellen (DeHart) Crombie, and moved to Long Lake in 1967. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam Conflict. On February 21, 1969, he married the former Lorrayne Ritchie and she preceded him in death in June of 1989. On February 13, 1990, he married Lori Wells, and the couple made their home in Long Lake. Tom and Lori celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary this year. He was a self-employed logger and enjoyed playing pool, hunting, fishing, golfing and just being in the outdoors. Tom is survived by his wife, Lori; sons, Gary (Gail) Schwenn of Eagle River, WI, Jeffery (Michelle Kesler) Schwenn of Star Lake, WI, and David Schrandt of Green Bay, WI; daughters, Angela (Dirk) Kilbury of Red Granite, WI, Jill (Robert) Fuller of Suamico, WI, and Miranda Schwenn of Appleton, WI; sister, Darlene (Loren) Jarvis of Puyallup, WA; 21 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Richard, Robert, Daniel & Curtis. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Brad Davison to officiate. The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites during the service. Interment will be in Long Lake Cemetery.
