Genevieve E. Dickson

Genevieve E. Dickson, age 81 of Caspian, MI, died Sunday January 10, 2010 at the Northstar Health System, Iron River. Born: January 3, 1929 in Gaastra, MI The daughter of the late William and Mabel (Gallup) Rivard was a lifelong resident. She attended the Caspian Schools. She married Ray Dickson September 27, 1958 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, MI and the couple made their home in Iron River. Ray preceded her in death in 1962. Her family was her life. She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, and was an avid follower of the Wykon Football team. She was an active member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and St. Anne's Society. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Charles, Jim, Donald and Billy Rivard and sisters: Ardella Geiger, Jane Gehlhoff, and Mary Louise Andler. She is survived by her brother, Earl Rivard of Lincoln Park, MI Her sister: Lucy ""Patty"" (Merk) Lindstrom of Iron River Numerous nieces and nephews Visitation: Wednesday January 13, 2010 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Services: Wednesday January 13, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian with the Rev. Norman Clisch, Pastor to offer the Mass of Christian burial. The Ladies of St. Anne's Society will form an honor guard at the Funeral. Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River, MI Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
