Genevieve Victorovich

Genevieve M. Victorovich Age 91 Gaastra, MI Passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Iron River Care Center. She was born November 20, 1921 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Luzio and Carmella (Catarusa) DeZorzi. She attended the Stambaugh schools and was a lifelong resident of the area. Genevieve married Stanley Victorovich on February 18, 1946 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, and the couple made their home in Gaastra. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1996. Stanley preceded her in death on January 16, 2003. Genevieve was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian and former member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Gaastra. She enjoyed being on her farm and being a housewife and mother. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Tony, one sister, Mary Waligursky; and one granddaughter, Catherine Eastman. She is survived by two sons; Michael Victorovich of Gaastra Stanley (Cindy) Victorovich Jr. of Gaastra Three daughters; Joanne (Thomas) Place of Gaastra Rosalie Eastman of Stambaugh Mary (John) Sundelius of Kaukauna, WI Ten grandchildren Fifteen great grandchildren Three great, great grandchildren Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family Visitation will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 from 9:00 to 10:30 at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase, Pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Intermen will be in Stambaugh Cemetery in the spring Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
