Gerald C. Maki

Gerald “Jerry” Carl Maki, age 70, of Iron River, MI, went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2021. Jerry was born in Stambaugh, MI on July 3, 1951, and raised in Caspian, MI, the son of the late Carl “Bud” and Evelyn (Thrasher) Maki. He graduated from West Iron County in 1969. He was employed at the White Pine Mine until it closed. Jerry then went to diesel mechanics school in L’Anse and had a few jobs until he retired. He enjoyed playing the drums, fishing, bird and deer hunting, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Jerry is survived by his daughter, Amy (Abraham) Allen of De Pere, WI; son, Jarrad (Mandy) Maki of Iron Mountain, MI; grandsons, Luke and Alex Allen; sister, Julie (Gary) Larson of Iron River; nephews, Stacy (Tracy) Larson of Appleton, WI and Brian (Tricia) Larson of Iron River, MI; extended family and friends.
