Germaine M. Pellizzer, age 82, of Caspian, MI, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at her home. She was born April 16, 1932 in Green Bay, WI, the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Rossi) Angeli. She attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1950. Germaine married John Pellizzer in 1955 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in 2013. She was employed in housekeeping at the Iron River Care Center for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, and St. Ann’s Society. She was a loving wife and mother, and enjoyed cooking and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Germaine is survived by her husband, John; son, Peter Pellizzer of Caspian; daughters, Theresa (Joseph) Shubat of Crystal Falls, MI, Linda (David) Hill of Mazomaine, WI, JoAnn (Rob) McKindles of Suamico, WI, and Gina (Mike) Healey of Chassell, MI; grandchildren, Keesha, Charisse, Shanelle, Jarrett, Joseph, Sheena, Morgan, Alex, Noah, Nick, and Hannah; great grandchildren, Braedan, and Wyatt; special cousin, Alice Paul; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her son, John, and one brother. Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 13, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, with Rev Gregory Veneklase, Pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The ladies of St. Ann's Society will form an Honor Guard at the service. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
