Gregory J. Anderson

Gregory J. Anderson, age 57, of Chanhassen, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in Iron River, MI.  He was born on November 8, 1961 in Stambaugh, MI, the son of Jack and Eunice (Clement) Anderson.  Greg attended the West Iron County Schools, graduating with the Class of 1980.  He then attended Michigan Technological University earning a degree in Chemical Engineering.  Greg served in the United States Navy from 1985 to 1990 before being honorably discharged. He was employed as computer programmer for 20 years.  He enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, painting, being in nature, and playing the piano.   Greg is survived by his parents; brother, Michael (Kathy) Anderson of Rochester, MN; sister, Karen (Rolando Gomez) Anderson of Green Bay, WI; Uncle, Chris Clement; Aunt, Marilyn Clement; family friends, Al and Gerry Silfven; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas John Anderson.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 9:30 to 10:45 am at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.  Funeral services will follow at 11 am at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Fr.
