Gregory E. Lund

Gregory E. Lund, age 65, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. He was born on November 21, 1957, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Einer “Buck” and Ruth (Coleman) Lund. Greg attended the area schools, graduating from West Iron County High School with the class of 1975. He then earned his machinist certification from Northern Michigan University. He was employed as an assembler at Coleman Products and later at Lakeshore. Greg was a member of the bocce league. His pride and joy were his weedless garden and landscaped lawn. Greg also enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, tinkering in the garage, and playing bocce ball, where he was a member of many championship teams. Greg is survived by his brother, James (June) Lund of Iron River; nieces and nephews, Brenda (Frank) Bowman and family, Tom (Sharon) Peterson and family, Michelle (Carl) Fitzpatrick and family, and Damon Peterson and family; and many close friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor DJ Rasner to officiate. Interment will be in Bates Township Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernie and George Schmidt, Rick and Brian Demboski, and Larry and Steve Nelson.
