Harold J. Denoon Jr.

Harold J. DeNoon Jr., age 67 of Iron River, MI, died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the D. J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans, Marquette, MI. Born: January 25, 1942 in Chicago, IL The son of Harold J. Sr. and Marie Stella (Barrows) DeNoon attended the Chicago schools. He was a U. S. Army veteran, serving from 1963 to 1965. Following his honorable discharge from the Army, he lived in Chicago, serving for many years in law enforcement. Harold married the former Kathy Lennon on June 24, 1967 in Chicago and the couple moved to Iron River in 1978 to make their home. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in 2007. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River, the Fraternal Order of Police, and the American Legion. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife Kathy Son, Michael (Misty) DeNoon of Kalamazoo, MI Daughter, Donna DeNoon of Portage, MI Two grandchildren, Patrick and Matthew Private family services will be held with Rev Norman Clisch, pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church to officiate.
