Harriet Brzezinski

Harriet Brzezinski Age 88 Iron River, MI passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Woodside Lutheran Home, Green Bay, WI. Born: June 3, 1924, Caspian, MI The daughter of the late Richard and Marie (Havlin) Erickson attended the Iron River Schools, graduating with the Class of 1942. In 1945, she graduated from the State College of Beauty Culture in Detroit and while studying, worked at the N.A. Woodworth Company Defense Plant. On July 6, 1946, she married Henry ""Hank"" Brzezinski. Harriet and Hank traveled extensively during Henry's 20 year Military Career. Travels included stays in Virginia, California, Florida, and Hawaii. Harriet and her two sons spent time in Iron River when her husband was involved in overseas military campaigns. The family permanently returned to Iron River in 1963. Harriet was a member of Grace Covenant Church of Iron River. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hank, brothers, Richard and Mark, sister, Sally Ghiggia, and nephew, David Ghiggia. She is survived by two sons, Ted (Sally) Brzezinski of Green Bay, WI Rodger (Christine) Brzezinski of Gladstone, MI One brother, Eldred Erickson of Windsor Lock, CT One sister, Janet Kadlec of Traverse City, MI Six grandchildren, Katie (Pat) Grabner, Joshua (Megan) Brzezinski, Crystal Brzezinski, Amy (Scott) Odgers, Kevin (Elly) Brzezinski, and Aaron (Mallori) Brzezinski Ten great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews Visitation: Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Service: Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Grace Covenant Church, Iron River, with Rev. James Swanson II to officiate.
