Hazel E. Lunn

Hazel E. Lunn, age 91, Iron River, MI died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, MI. Born: January 18, 1917 in Stambaugh, MI The daughter of the late Charles and Ellen (Anderson) Stolberg attended the Stambaugh schools, graduating in 1935. Hazel married Harry Lunn on October 11, 1935 and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1985. Harry preceded her in death in 1992. Hazel was employed as a Nurse's Aide at the Iron County Medical Care Facility for 16 years. She loved sewing, gardening (especially caring for her flowers), antiquing, and in later years, going to the casino. She also loved caring for her grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by four brothers; Waldmore, George, Lambert, and Wilbur ""Colby"" Stolberg; and two sisters; LaVerne Erickson and Eunice Petroff. She is survived by her special friend, Louie Fantini Son, Glen Lunn of Iron River Daughter, Elaine (Duane) Larson of Germantown, WI 8 grandchildren 15 great grandchildren 10 great, great grandchildren Nieces and nephews Visitation: Monday, July 14, 2008 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
