Heather Anne Skoglund

Heather Anne Skoglund, age 35, of Florence, WI, became one of our Lord’s Angels on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, from an ongoing medical condition. She was born October 8, 1981, in Iron River, the daughter of Robert Skoglund and Karen Nichols. She attended the West Iron County Schools, graduating with the Class of 2000. She enjoyed working outdoors on the pipeline and also worked as a waitress. She loved her kids and enjoyed gardening, darts, fishing, woodworking, glitter, butterflies and everything pretty. Heather is survived by her daughter, Kiya Shay Vassar of Florence, WI; son, Zander Lawrence Buck of Florence, WI; step-son, Steven Vassar of Florence, WI; father and step-mother, Robert and Tamara Skoglund of Caspian, MI; mother and step-father, Karen and Matthew Silvie of Iron River, MI; sisters, Jennifer (Pete) Hansen and April Skoglund, both of Iron River, MI; step-brother, Kenneth (Barbara) Autio of Iron River, MI; step-sisters, Julia Graves of Texas, Pamela Gibbons of Florida, and Patricia Gibbons of Iron River, MI; her best friends, Steve Vassar (father of Kiya) and Jerry Buck (father of Zander); good friends, Jill Davis, Sheila Patterson, Tasha Hernandez, and Tashina Shields; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River, with stories told and prayers led by Stanley Brzoznowski at 1:30 p.m. The celebration will continue with a potluck luncheon at the Snipe Lake Pub and Grill, located at 675 Baumgartner Road, Iron River, MI.
