Hilda M. Puskala

Hilda M. Puskala Age 83 Iron River, MI Passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls. She was born November 28, 1928 in Beechwood, MI to the late Carl and Sadie (Maki) Salo. She attended the Beechwood School and Iron River High School. Hilda Married Thomas Puskala in 1946 and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. Thomas preceded her in death in 1993. She was a member of St. Paul 's Lutheran Church of Iron River. Hilda enjoyed gardening, canning, and cooking. She also enjoyed going to plays and shows with her friends and going to the casino. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by two sons; David Puskala of Crystal Falls Thomas Puskala of Iron River Four daughters; Kathryn (Gunther) Schennach of Iron River Cynthia (Leo) Schiavo of Crystal Falls Karen Armstrong of Crystal Falls Christina (Kevin) Upperstrom of Iron River 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren She was also preceded in death by her son James and brothers, Larry and John. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11:00 at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
