Howard L. Huske

Howard L. Huske, age 67, of Iron River, MI, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. He was born July 11, 1950, in Harvey, IL, the son of the late Barney and Teresa (Jonkman) Huske. Howard married Barbara McDonald on June 1, 1976 in Eagle River, WI. The couple celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary this year. He was an Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam and was a member of the VFW Ottawa Post #3134 of Iron River. He was employed as a welder and logger for 20 years. Howard is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Emily (Edward) Dozier of Arlington, VA and Ruth (Eric) Edstrom of Menomonie, WI; son, Jacob Huske of Lisle, IL; grandchildren, Sam and Alyssa Dozier; brother, Harold (Gloria) Huske; sister, Heather (Paul) Tirpe, both of Manitowish Waters, WI.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harvey Huske. Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery and the West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites at the graveside.
