Iris M. Zimmerman

Iris M. Zimmerman, age 75, of Iron River, MI, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at U.P. Health System in Marquette, MI. She was born August 27, 1939 in Crystal Falls, MI, the daughter of the late Reino and Tressa (Rondon) Grandahl. She attended the Crystal Falls Schools. Iris was employed as a bookkeeper for 15 years. Iris was a member of the Finnish Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing and dancing. Iris loved to listen to music and spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Raymond (Jamie) Zimmerman of Iron River; daughter, Lori Zimmerman of Iron River, MI; brother, Roger (Charlotte) Grandahl of Crystal Falls; sisters, Janet LeGault of Iron River, Tessie Grandahl of Las Vegas, NV and Kathleen (Neil) Bishop of Lodi, WI; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River with Rev. Michael Laakko to officiate.
