Jacob Steven Gunderman, age 27 of Iron River, MI, died Thursday August 27, 2009. Born: April 8, 1982 in Iron River, MI The son of Jeffery Gunderman and Beryl Smith was a life long resident. He attended the West Iron County Schools and graduated in 2001. He was a mechanic employed by Rick's Repair in Iron River. He loved the outdoors, enjoying watersports and snow sports. Jacob was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Steve and Barbara Smith and paternal grandmother, Lois Gunderman. Survived by his mother; Beryl Smith, Iron River Father; Jeffery Gunderman, Salcha, Alaska Brother; Luke Gunderman, North Pole, Alaska Step-father; Rick Delinski, Iron River Paternal grandfather; Daniel Gunderman, Iron River aunts; Amy (Tom Landgraph) Smith, Fay (Scott) Steffens, Janet Rohde, Sandra (Ron)Maki, Mary (Richard) Jones and uncle Donald (Pam) Smith, cousins and extended family. Visitation: Monday August 31, 2009 from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Memorial Service; Monday August 31, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River with the Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church to officiate.
