James J. Clark

James J. Clark, age 68, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Tuesday May 4, 2021. He was born on July 24, 1952 in Joliet, IL, the son of the late Thomas and Margaret (Jurisic) Clark. He attended the Cresthill Schools, graduating from Lockport West High School. James married Barbara Gates on July 3, 1971 in Tennessee. The couple celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary in 2020. He was employed as a painter for Oldenburg. James was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Reino Squadron 21. He enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren, working in his garden, mowing his yard, and just being outdoors. James is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Joseph Spiezio of Iron River, MI, Curtis (Carey) Spiezio of Joliet, IL, and Jon (Cindy) Clark of Plainfield, IL; daughter, Samantha (Dana Bennett) Clark of Crystal Falls, MI; brother, Patrick (Lori) Clark of Joliet, IL; sister, Nancy (Vince) Engelman of Channahon, IL; six granddaughters and two grandsons; five great grandchildren; extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his son, James J. Clark Jr.; his brother, Thomas Clark Jr.; and his grandson, Brandon Spiezo.
