James K Trewnick

James K. Trewnick, age 79, of Iron River, MI, passed away November 11, 2015 at his home. He was born August 5, 1936 in Ishpeming, MI, the son of the late James L. and Viola (Thibodeau) Trewnick. He was employed as a pipefitter at the Great Lakes Naval Base for over 22 years. James married the former Marjorie Donahue on March 3, 1972 in Waukegan, IL, and the couple celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary this year. He loved his yard work, going to camp with his son, fishing, playing cards (euchre), and watching baseball, especially the Tigers. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. James is survived by his wife, Marjorie; son, James (Carolyn) Trewnick of Champion, MI; Brother, Allen (Toni) Trewnick of Crystal Falls; sisters, JoAnn (Edward) Uuro of Ishpeming, MI, and Darcy Blanchard of Grand Rapids, MI; grandsons, Eric Trewnick of Holland, MI, and Corey Trewnick of Champion, MI; several nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Arpiainen. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
