Jane Jean Kinney

Jane Jean Kinney Age 77 Caspian, MI Passed away December 10, 2011. Born February 18, 1934 in Stambaugh, MI. The daughter of the late Amedio and Rose (Contardi) Mandolini attended the Iron River schools, graduating with the Class of 1952. She then went on to attend a nursing school in Rochester, MN. Jean worked in the local school system for 40 years. Jean married Roland Kinney on May 10, 1958 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River, MI. The couple made their home in Caspian and celebrated their 53rd anniversary this year. Jean was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, St. Anne's Society, the Italian Ladies, and Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel, holding the office of secretary for a while. She also enjoyed traveling, cooking, camping, sewing, and especially playing Bingo at the Care Center. She is survived by her husband, Roland Kinney of Caspian Daughter, Susan (Patrick) Huffman of Grand Rapids, MI Sons, Thomas (Jody) Kinney of Grand Rapids, MI Daniel (Dawn) Kinney of Spring Lake, MI Grandchildren, Christopher John, Crystal Rose, and Nicole Dawn Kinney Sister, Dominica (Archie) Carlotto of Caspian Visitation: Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Service: Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The ladies of St. Anne's Society and The Italian Ladies will form an honor guard at the service.
