Jane Rasmussen

Jane A. Rasmussen Age 75 Iron River, MIDied Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, MI. Born: May 9, 1936 in Phelps, WI The daughter of the late Rheinhold and Lillian (Kinner) Volkman was a lifelong resident of the area. She married Larry James Rogers-Rasmussen on July 17, 1953. Larry preceded her in death in January 1999. Jane was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Iron River, the Foreign Legion Auxiliary and Amvets. Although life did not give Jane an opportunity for extended formal education, she lived life to its fullest and was very active, with many friends. She was employed for many years in home care with the disabled and elderly. She believed in people and people believed in her. She loved bingo and playing cards with her friends. She was also preceded in death by her son Paul, two infant sons, Dale and Larry Dale and brother Dennis Volkman. She is survived by her sons; James (Francene) Rasmussen of Mason, MI John Rasmussen of Kingsford, MI Daughters; Lari (James) McKenzie of Bay City, MI Candie Long (Gary Gnat) of Rhinelander, WI Sister, Marion Pillsbury of Phelps, WI Brother-in-law and friend, Ray Goodhall Ten grandchildren Ten great grandchildren Nieces, nephews and extended family Memorial Services: Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Iron River, with Rev.
