Jane A. Spencer

Jane Adele Spencer, age 59, of Alvin, WI, passed away February 28, 2015 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 30, 1955 in Kenosha, WI, the daughter of the late David and Fae (Johnston) Kappers. She graduated from Trempter High School, Class of 1973. Jane married Michael Richard Spencer on October 6, 1973 in Kenosha, WI. She attended the Pentecostal Church of God “Little White Church” of Alvin. Jane served as Supervisor for the Town of Alvin, and was Assistant Chief of the Alvin First Responders. She enjoyed playing games on the computer, and especially loved spending time with family. Jane is survived by her husband Michael; daughters, Tara (Gary) Smith of Iron River, MI, Kasandra (Scott) Ayen of Janesville, WI, and Tiffany (Josh) Kinner of Tomah, WI; brothers, David (Cheryl) Kappers of Kokomo, IN, and William (Katherine) Kappers of Kenosha, WI; sisters, Sandra (Dennis) Bierdz of Florida, and Jody (Perry) Biederman of Kenosha, WI; five grandchildren; nieces nephews, and extended family and friends.       She was also preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Kappers, and sister, Colleen Hagen. Visitation will be held Saturday March 7, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. till 11:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m, with Pastor Della Rosenow to officiate.       Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Alvin, WI in the spring.
