Janette P. Kurtz

Janette P. Kurtz, age 76, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, WI. She was born on January 29, 1945, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Joseph and Ann (Enselin) Zwiekopf. Janette married Louis Kurtz on November 30, 1968, in Milwaukee, WI. The couple celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in 2020. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed spending time at the lake and fishing with Louis. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Janette is survived by her husband, Louis Kurtz; son, Darrin (Tanya) Kurtz of Iron River, MI; daughters, Tammy (Matt) Lehr of Iron River, MI and Wendy (David) Baumann of Mastodon Twp, MI; sister, Joanne Smith of Sellersburg, IN; grandchildren, Colton (Kristi) Kurtz, Ashley (Woody) Wendt, Hunter and Alivia Lehr, and Max Baumann; great granddaughter, Stella Kurtz; extended family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jody and twin grandsons, Will and Ian Baumann. Private services will be held.
