Jay D. Luckey

Jay D. Luckey, age 48, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2019. He was born on June 3, 1970 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Lance and Gloria (Pollock) Luckey.  He attended the West Iron County Schools.  He was employed as a roofer for 30 years.  He enjoyed fishing and bow hunting, going to the casino, and especially spending time with his children.   Jay is survived by his parents; sons, Justin, Jordan, Jacob, Jared, Joel, Josh, Kaden, Jason Luckey and Ian Bucher; daughter, Adriana Luckey; step brothers, Jesse (Laura) Knipp and Mike (Laura) O’Leary; sister, Jamie (Dave Sanders) Luckey; four grandchildren, Justin Jr., Noah, Merci, and Austin; three aunts, Kris, Thea, and Rita; one uncle, Marvin; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Arnold and stepbrother, Jason Knipp.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 1 to 4 pm at the Bates Township Hall.
