Jeffrey M. Evanoff, age 42, of Anchorage, AK, formerly of Caspian, unexpectedly passed away June 24, 2013 at his home. Jeffrey was born November 6, 1970 in Crystal Falls, MI, the son of Larry and Bonnie (Gross) Evanoff. He attended the West Iron County Schools and graduated with the Class of 1989. He then attended Michigan Technological University and Northern Michigan University, earning his Bachelors in Environmental Engineering. Jeffrey married Lisa Alleva on July 22, 2006 in Anchorage and made their home there. Jeffrey was an Alaska State Trooper from 1999 to 2009. He was currently employed as a safety Regional Director for Linc Energy. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian where he had been an altar boy. Jeffrey enjoyed hunting, fishing and driving his Harley. He was an avid Packer fan. He is survived by his wife, Lisa and daughter, Olivia, of Anchorage, AK; parents, Larry and Bonnie Evanoff of Caspian; sister, Jody Evanoff Sleik of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; nephews, Reece and Rylee; mother-in-law, Margaret Levra of Hurley, WI; father-in-law, John Alleva of Anchorage, AK; brother-in-law, John (Mary) Alleva Jr. of Alaska; sister-in-law, Kristie Alleva of Alaska; aunt, Patty (John) Roberts of Iron River; uncle, Ted Gibneski of Iron River; aunt, Donna (Bob) Sweinty of Washington; aunt, Carol Borns of Washington; uncle, James Evanoff of Washington; cousins, Timothy and John Jr. Roberts of Iron River. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to officiate.
