Jeremy L. Johnson

Jeremy Lee Johnson, age 35, of Iron River, MI, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 following an automobile accident. He was born November 2, 1980 in Iron River, MI, the son of Gary and Kelly (Condon) Johnson.   He attended the West Iron County Schools and was employed as a Surveyor in the pipeline industry. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian. Life was an adventure to Jeremy. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for his family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with children, catching up with old friends, golfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and riding motorcycles. Jeremy is survived by his parents, Gary and Kelly Johnson of Iron River; sisters, Kaycee (Ryan) Zimmerman of Iron River, and Kayla (Jackson) Morford of Loveland, CO; nephew, Aidyn and niece, Addisyn Zimmerman; maternal grandmother, Diane McGinnis; maternal grandfather, Jim (Ione) Condon; extended family, Joe and Debbie Nordstrom, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Florence (Shovald) Johnson and Herman James Johnson. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. A Liturgy of the Word Service will be conducted at St. Cecilia Catholic Church at 12 p.m. with Father Michael Woempner to officiate.
