Jerome ""Jerry"" J. Gawin Age 80 Iron River, MI Died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Northstar Health System, Iron River. Born: February 26, 1932 in Milwaukee, WI The son of the late Edward J. and Rose C. (Ebertowski) Gawin attended and graduated from Riverside High School. Following graduation, he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. .He was a U. S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1952 to 1955. He began his career at A.C. Delco Electronics in the Apollo Program and ended his career in the Aerospace Program for Lockheed Martin, retiring in 1992. Jerry married the former Marlene Gibson on November 17, 1959 at St. Hedwigs Catholic Church of Milwaukee. Following Jerry 's retirement, the couple moved to Iron River to make their home. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 2009. Jerry was a semi-professional photographer and an avid playwright. He was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin. He is survived by his wife, Marlene Son, Michael Gawin of Dillon, CO Daughter, Kim Marie (John) Novak of Seattle, WA Brother, James (Joan) Gawin of Brookfield, WI Sister Minnie Wilke of Florida Sister-in-law, Gerry Gawin Two grandchildren, Jennifer and Alex Extended family and friends Private family services will be held.
