Jerry A. Nelson

Jerry A. Nelson, age 59,Caspian, MI died Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Iron County Community Hospital, Iron River, MI. Born March 8, 1948 in Stambaugh, MI The son of the late Harvey and Arlene (Johnvin) Nelson attended the Iron River schools and graduated from Iron River High School. He worked as a sawmill foreman at Pine River Lumber for over 36 years. Jerry married the former Mary Stimpson on September 19,1975 in Iron River and the couple made their home in Caspian. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, making firewood, watching the weather, and working sudoko puzzles. He was well known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He is survived by his wife Mary Two sons, Jeff of Milwaukee, WI Eric (Amy) of Green Bay, WI One daughter, Theresa of Florida Two brothers, John (Carrie) of Iron River Jim of Iron River One sister, Judy (Terry) Girard of Iron River Seven grandchildren; Christopher, Julian, Clarissa, Samantha, Connor, Kaylee, and Kaitlyn Visitation: Tuesday, March 11, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
