Joan A. Sartorelli

Joan A. Sartorelli, age 81, of Gaastra, MI, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at her home. She was born February 26, 1934 in Gaastra, MI, the daughter of the late Feno and Aurelia (Eagloski) Sartorelli.   She was employed as a secretary in the auto industry for over 15 years, and also worked as a substitute teacher. Joan was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian and St. Ann’s Society. She served as a CCD teacher for many years. She loved her religion and being around family and friends Joan is survived by her brother, James (Shirley) Sartorelli of Gaastra; sister-in-law, Lettie Sartorelli of Gaastra; and many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth. Visitation will be held Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5:00 TO 7:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to officiate. The ladies of St. Ann’s Society will form an Honor Guard at the service. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery in the spring.
