Joel T. Deroche

Joel T. DeRoche, age 83, of Gaastra, MI, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022. He was born on June 11, 1939, in Ishpeming, MI, the son of the late Ernest and Marie (LaForge) DeRoche, Sr. Joel graduated from Alpha High School with the class of 1959. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Joel was employed as an accountant for D.A. MacPherson, Inc., Pamida, and Shopko. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and bird hunting and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Joel is survived by his brothers, David (Shirley) DeRoche of Sunset Lake, and Mark DeRoche of Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Collette (John) Kocinski of Hendersonville, NC, Paulette “Kay” (Anthony) Ghidorzi of Winfield, IL, and Theresa DeRoche of Moriarty, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Joel will also be sadly missed by special friend, Cindy Klima Beck of Caspian, MI. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest DeRoche, Jr. and Daniel DeRoche, and sister, Marguerite Nelson. There will be no funeral services.
