John "Jack" Andreski

John “Jack” Andreski, 68, of Iron River, MI, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Iron River Care Center. He was born September 10, 1945 in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late John G. and Evelyn “Dolly” (Bunn) Andreski. He attended the Iron River Schools, graduating from Iron River High School. John married the former Marene Damrau on August 24, 1968 in Neenah, WI, and the couple celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary in 1993. Marene preceded him in death on January 3, 1995.John was employed by the City of Iron River for over 15 years, and was a member of the Iron River Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking. John is survived by his sons, Jeff (Rachel) Andreski, and Mark Andreski, both of Iron River; sisters, Joan DeKeyser of Rapid River, MI, and Barbara Koenke of Appleton, WI; many nieces, nephews , and extended family. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 3:00 to 4:45 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Iron River. Members of the Firemen’s Association will pass in review at 4:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, with Pastor John Fish to officiate.
