John Helgeson

John G. Helgeson Age 68 Iron River, MIDied Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at his home. Born: November 22,1942 in Cudahy, WI The son of John Thomas and Sylvia (Guse) Helgeson attended the Cudahy Schools, graduating from Cudahy High School. Following graduation, he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He moved to the Iron River area in 1979. John married the former Sally Barinotti on December 20, 1997 in Iron River where the couple made their home. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Iron River. John loved gardening, carpentry, music and the arts. He volunteered for many community programs and enjoyed serving as a local DJ for many years. He was preceded in death by his father, John. He is survived by his wife, Sally Mother, Sylvia Son, Jeff (Wendi) Blaubach of River Falls, WI Daughter, Sonja Helgeson of Wayne, MI Step-daughters, Kimberly Peterson of Barrington, IL Keri (Donald) Nordstrom of Iron River Sisters, Marilyn (Bruce) Mitchel of Cudahy, WI Gloria (Peter) Gajevic of West Bend, WI Wendy Helgeson of Cudahy, WI Kathy Thorton of San Diego, CA Grandchildren, Nicholas, Jack, Lauren, Paige, Clarissa and Leah Nieces, nephews and extended family Visitation: Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Iron River. Funeral Service: Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, Iron River, with Rev. Bonny Kinnunen to officiate.
