John A. Mayack

John A. Mayack, age 74, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Wednesday March 31, 2021. He was born in Rhinelander, WI on August 12, 1945 to parents Andrew and Estelle Mayack. He grew up in Eagle River, WI alongside his two brothers, Edward and Alan. He attended St. Peter’s Catholic School and graduated from Eagle River Union High School. After school, John was a dedicated member of the farming staff at Felix Zeloski’s Farm, located in Eagle River, for many years. When he relocated to Iron River, he worked at Angeli's Central Market before retiring. John was a people person who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to the casino, playing cards, and games. He was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed watching the game. John is survived by his brother, Alan Mayack; niece, Heather (Joseph) Ehrlich; great nieces, Andrea Bauer and Aubrey Ehrlich; great nephews, Masson Bauer and Jordan Ehrlich; and dear friend, Mary Rae. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Estelle Mayack; brother, Edward Mayack; and sister-in-law, Tami (Alan) Mayack. His genuine personality, kindness, being a great conversation holder, and a laugh to remember, will be dearly missed by many. Private services will be held.
