John D. Soderbloom

John “Puffer” D. Soderbloom, age 64, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, WI. He was born on November 23, 1959, in Stambaugh, MI, the son of the late Carl and Florence (Flaschberger) Soderbloom. He attended the Stambaugh and West Iron County Schools, graduating from West Iron County High School with the class of 1977. He was employed as a pipeline surveyor before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his faithful dog, Zippy. John is survived by his sisters, Sharon (Robert) Gagnea of Iron River, MI and Donna Townsend of Bristol, IN; best friend, John Donati of Iron River, MI; extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Don Soderbloom. Graveside services will be held in Stambaugh Cemetery in the spring.
