Joyce A. Gasperini

Joyce A. Gasperini, age 72, of Iron River, MI, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Northstar Health System, Iron River. She was born on January 7, 1943 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Edward and Eleanor (Kanka) Fox. Joyce married Frank V. Gasperini on July 4, 1959 in Waukegan, IL. The couple returned to the Iron River area in 1992. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in 2011. Frank preceded her in death on November 5, 2011. She enjoyed spending time outside on the patio, and was always available for support to her children and grandchildren. Joyce is survived by her sons, Peter (Pam) Gasperini, Edward (Marie) Gasperini, and Larry (Corrinea) Gasperini, all of Iron River; daughters, Tina (Todd) Voss of Iron River and Danine (Alan) Smith of Bristow, OK; brother, Charles “Bud” (Levonne) Fox of Janesville, WI; sisters, Catherine Allan of Chicago Ridge, IL, and Pat Bailey of Rockford, IL; 16 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was also preceded in death by her son, Frank Gasperini Jr.Visitation will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase to officiate. Interment will be in Green Acres Cemetery, Bloomington CA.
