Joyce L. Nunn

Joyce L. Nunn, age 76, Iron River, MI, died Friday August 24, 2007 at the Marquette General Hospital, Marquette, MI. Born: April 11, 1931 in Iron Mountain, MI. The daughter of the late Emilio and Esther (Rocconi) Tomassucci attended the Amidon Elementary School in Iron Mountain, moving to the Iron River area with her family as a young girl, and graduated from Iron River High School in 1950. Joyce lived and traveled all over the world, returning to Iron Mountain in 1975, and then to Iron River in 1980 to care for her parents. She assisted her brother Gene with his catering business for many years. She also worked as a care giver in private homes for many years. Joyce enjoyed sewing and tailoring, and was an avid bridge player. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, St. Ann's Society, the Italian Ladies Society, an active member and served on the Board of the Iron County Historical Museum, a former member of the Daughters of Isabella, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Reino Post #21. Survived by son; Mark (Patty) Nunn, Faith, North Carolina Brother; Eugene Tomassucci, Iron River, MI. Nephew; Brad (Tammy) Tomassucci and their children Chris, Nick and Ameilia Niece Lisa (Bruce) Heisel and their son Dana Visitation: Saturday, September 8, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. The American Legion Auxiliary Reino Post #21 will hold Services at 12:15 p.m. Funeral Services: Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, MI with the Rev. Norman Clisch, pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Italian Ladies Society will attend as a group to pay their respects. Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
