Judith “Judy” died November 26, 2013 at the age of 82. Judy was born October 25, 1931 in Stambaugh, MI, daughter of the late Stanley and Flossie Garrett. She was a 1949 graduate of Iron River High School, and graduated from the Milwaukee Business Institute. She was a member of Elmbrook Church of Brookfield, Wisconsin. Judy was employed by the Federal Government for 31 years. At the time of her retirement, she was Director of Human Resources at the VA Hospital in Iron Mountain, MI. Judy was the loving mother of two sons; Dr. Kevin Broaddrick (Cecily), and Dr. Timothy Broaddrick (Susan). She was also the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren: Jesse (Krista), Melissa (Todd), Shannon, Maggie, Callie, Aimee, Ellyn, and Kyle (Tracie). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Frederickson, her former husband and father of her children, Neal Broaddrick, and her parents. She often expressed deep sorrow over the loss of her eldest son, Stephan, who died at age 12. Judy valued the life-long friendships she had maintained over many years, especially those of Carol, Judy, Marilyn and numerous others. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Memorial services will follow at 1 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, with Pastor Dawn Treado Green to officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Cemetery in Iron River, MI The family suggests donations be made to the Aurora VNA Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, WI through Aurora Health Care Foundation, Foundation Operations, 950 North 12th Street Suite A511, Milwaukee, WI 53233.
