Judy G. Jacobson

Judy Geraldine Gasperini Jacobson, age 81, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026.

She was born on April 17, 1945, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Albert Gasperini and Erma Clara Bastianello-Villeneuve.

Judy married Richard D. Jacobson on August 5, 1961, in Crystal Falls, MI.

She was a stay-at-home mom. She found enjoyment in the simple pleasures of being outdoors. She loved her walks and bike rides and the sense of freedom that came with them. She also had a special fondness for the wildlife that visited her backyard, especially the deer she would handfeed. One deer became a particular favorite, returning again and again to visit. These quiet moments spent enjoying nature were a meaningful part of her everyday life.

Judy is survived by her children, Shelley (Cory) Giuliani of Bergland, MI, Barb Villeneuve, Terry (Duane) Porier, Eric Jacobson, and Lloyd Jacobson, all from Iron River, MI; grandchildren, Jessy, Lisa, Beth, Jarin, Tina, Riley, Hailey, Rory and Audry; seven great-grandchildren, Lyla, Ethan, Hayden, Casey, Logan, Hazel, and Claire; brother, Albert (Pat) Gasperini, Jr. of Iron River, MI; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Richard and sister, Geraldine Lloyd from California.

Private family service will be held.
