Judy I Olson

Judy I. Olson, age 76, of Iron River, MI passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Aspirus in Wausau, WI. She was born on July 5, 1945, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Marvin and Irene (Berlin) Borns. She attended the Iron River Schools and graduated with the Class of 1963. Judy married William “Bill” Olson on July 13, 1963, in Milwaukee, WI. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in July. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed motorcycling, camping, traveling, going to Tamarack Lake, and spending time with family and friends. She was proud of her 30+ years of work at Toumey Nursery in Watersmeet. Judy is survived by her son, Eric (Sara) Olson of Cedar Springs, MI; brother, Mark (Pat) Borns; extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her daughter and son-in-law, Sheri and Randy Ponozzo; and infant brother, Calvin. A Celebration of both Bill and Judy’s lives will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 1:00 to 4:00pm at the American Legion Reino Post 21. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
