June C. Hawke

June C. Hawke of Iron River, MI, joined the Lord on Monday, January 4, 2010 at the age of 87 years. June was born June 5, 1922 in Crystal Falls to Harry and Anna Soderena. She attended and graduated from the Crystal Falls Schools. She married Josiah H. Carne of Stambaugh and he preceded her in death in 1950. June then married Albert H. ""Whitey"" Hawke of Gaastra on March 30, 1972 and the couple made their home in Iron River. They celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary in 2008. Albert preceded her in death on December 15, 2008. She is survived by her son, Josiah Carne of Green Bay, WI Daughters; Catherine Palazzo of Iron River Susan Ambrose of San Clamente, CA Six grandchildren: Christopher, Adam, Eric, Patrick, Nikolas and David Two great grandchildren: Brayden and Olivia and numerous nieces and nephews She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Einer, Ralph and Vernor; two sisters, Ann and Bertha; and beloved granddaughter, Dana Ambrose. Visitation: Monday, January 11, 2010 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Service: Monday, January 11, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River, with Chuck Tooman, Lake Superior Hospice Chaplin to officiate.
