Justin T. Henschel

November 12, 2002 — January 18, 2017

Justin T. Henschel, age 14, of Iron River, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 18, 2017.   He was born November 12, 2002, in Iron Mountain, MI, the son of Kyle Henschel and Angela Esbrook.  He attended the West Iron County Schools.  Justin was an amazing son, brother and friend. He would do anything for his siblings. You could always count on Justin for a laugh or a sarcastic comment - making people laugh was one of his favorite things to do.  He loved waterskiing on Stanley Lake, Top Ramen (yes, even for breakfast!), video games, drawing, legos, Mrs. Langenberg’s class and Minecraft. It’s impossible to list or describe Justin on paper. His two best friends, Lucas and Bear, summed it up pretty well: Justin had more personality than anyone we have ever met. His soul was so bright it would light up the darkest room. He was the funniest person we know and was always happy, very curious, and always had a plan or idea of some sort. We will forever be the 3 Musketeers - “It’s your boiiiiiiii!” - Lucas and Bear.  For his mom, Justin was a breath of fresh air - a laugh, a pause, a break from the craziness that raising three children is.  Our lives are forever changed, there will always be an empty space and we will always, always miss him.      Justin is survived by his mother, Angie Esbrook (Randy Harris) of Iron River; father, Kyle Henschel (Linda Sabatke) of Kenosha, WI; brother, Brandon Henschel, and sister, Amberly Henschel, both of Iron River; half-brother, T.J. Sabatke of Kenosha, WI; maternal grandfather, Mike Esbrook; paternal grandmother, Laurie Henschel; paternal grandfather, Mark Henschel (Kathy Haydon); extended family and friends.   He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Julie Esbrook. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 28, 2017 from11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Pellizzer to officiate.  The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the entire community, the staff at Aspirus EMS and Aspirus Hospital Iron River, Dr. Danny Yarger, the West Iron County Fire Department and the Iron County Sheriff’s Department.  To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Justin T.
