Karen A. Ades

Karen A. Ades, age 64, Iron River, MI, died Sunday, July 8, 2007 at the Iron County Community Hospital, Iron River. Born: June 2, 1943 in Mellen, WI The daughter of the late Steve and Clara (Tafeleski) Tart attended the Mellen schools, graduating from Mellen High School in 1961. She married Robert Ades in 1964 in Milwaukee, WI. He preceded her in death in 1997. Karen moved to the Iron River area in 1998 from Kingman, AZ to be near her family. She was a caregiver for many people and loved to tell stories and play bingo. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and St. Anne's Society. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Walter, Frank, Sylvester, and Anthony Pietrowski, and four sisters, Suzanne, Gertrude, Elaine, and Judy May. She is survived by three sons, Robert Ades Jr. of Machensey Park, IL Ryan E. (Samantha) Ades of Elkhorn, WI James Baker of Charlevoix, MI Two brothers, Benjamin (Shirley) Tart of Iron River Alex Pietrowski, Orlando, FL Two sisters, Larraine (Ben) Brickman) of Iron River Bernice (Robert) Baker of Charlevoix, MI Visitation: Wednesday, July 11, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River. Funeral Services: Thursday, July 12, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian, MI, with Rev. Norman Clisch , Pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
