Karen S. Ambrose

Karen S. Ambrose, 72, of Caspian, MI, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. She was born May 7, 1941 in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Wallace and Margaret (Sarber) Dent. Karen married David Ambrose on December 3, 1969 in Iron River and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. They celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary in 2002. David preceded her in death on October 18, 2003. Karen was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian and St. Ann 's Society. She enjoyed sewing and watching soap operas, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother William Dent and sister, Leslie Watts. Karen is survived by her sons, John (Kathy) Ambrose of Ironwood, MI, Tony (Barb) McGeshick of Caspian, and Edward (Tamie) McGeshick of Vanderbilt, MI; niece, Deanne (Steven) Mecha of Iron River; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren; great nieces, and extended family. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:40 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 12 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, with Rev. Gregory Veneklase, Pastor, to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The Ladies of St. Ann 's Society will form an Honor Guard at the service. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery. Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
