Karen Hoffman

Karen L. Hoffmann, age 80, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2022, at the Iron River Care Center. On May 1, 1942, she was born in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late John and Lena (Grailer) Meyer. She attended and graduated from the Stambaugh Schools, and remained a lifelong resident of the area. Karen worked at the Sweet Corner Grocery and later at Coleman Products in Iron River. She served on the Site Council of the Iron River Senior Citizen Center and also worked at the Senior Citizen Center, since 2005. She also served as helper on the Iron River Election Board. Karen was an avid bingo player. Karen is survived by a daughter, Susan (Mark) Ferry of Luxemburg, WI, a sister, Sally (Jim) Kirkpatrick of Chicago, IL , and grandson Steve (Michelle Klavekoske) Ferry of Manitowoc, WI , grandchildren Gabriella, Charlie, Lila, Nova, and Silas. She was proceeded in death by her special friend Carl LaFountain, and grandson Bryan Ferry. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 5, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. A Liturgy of the Word service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
