Katherine F. Sporer

Katherine F. Sporer, age 96, of Caspian, MI, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls, MI. She was born September 28, 1925, in Stambaugh, MI, the daughter of the late Walter and Antonia (Todey) Sporer. She attended the Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1943. She was employed in data processing for M.A. Hanna for 20 years. She was an active member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian, where she served as a Lector, and taught C.C.D. (Catechism). Katherine was an Ecumenical Minister and member of St. Ann’s Society. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. Katherine is survived by her brother, John (Katherine) Sporer of Iron River, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Sporer, and sisters, Tillie Cole, Aileen Fisher, Mary Powell, and Judy Sporer. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Stambaugh Cemetery with Rev. Jose Cherian to officiate.
