Katherine L. Zyskowski Age 80 Iron River, MI Died Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls, MI. Born: September 23, 1931 in St. Louis, MO The daughter of the late Emil and Elizabeth (Bolin) Schmidt graduated from high school and attended Northern Michigan University, Marquette, MI for her Bachelors Degree. Katherine married Thomas Zyskowski on January 26, 1952 and the couple were lifelong residents of the area. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in 2011. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church of Iron River. She loved to read and write, and especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother John Schmidt. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Son, David (Norrice) Zyskowski of Rocklin, CA Daughters, Anne (Mike) Roberts of El Segundo, CA Susan Plute of Santa Anna, CA Jennifer Zyskowski of Crystal Falls Brother, Steve Schmidt of the Philippines One grandson, Eric Plute Three great grandchildren Private family services will be held.
