Kathleen D. Economy

Kathleen D. Economy, age 66, of Iron River, joined her loved ones who have gone before her to the great eternal resting place on Saturday, March 12, 2022. She was born on May 17, 1954, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Donald and Mildred (Smith) Ripple. She attended the Warren, MI Schools and graduated from Mott High School. She was employed as a waitress most of her life until her retirement. Kathleen enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She loved trains, collecting rocks and seashells, and had an open heart and was always willing to help others in need. Kathleen is survived by her son, Nathaniel (Francesca) Economy of Iron River, MI; brother, Mark (Sue) Ripple of Tampa, FL; sister, Kelly Woodward of Mt. Clements, MI; grandchildren, Taylor, Kinsley, and Donovan Economy and Jacob, Julia, and Jonah Holmberg; great granddaughter, Susie Que; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Economy and sisters, Jane Huey and Robin Ripple. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
