Kathleen Kudlaty

Kathleen Kudlaty born April 17, 1928, to John and Margaret Kudlaty in Gaastra, Michigan died September 10, 2023, at the age of 95. She played the organ in Gaastra after Father James Sartorelli left for the Seminary. At age 22 she entered the Religious Community of the School Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee, Wi and received the name Sr. Mariettina. She made Perpetual vows and received Dispensation from Rome at the time of Vatican II. She was in the Religious Order for 24 years. She was an organist and teacher. She worked with many choirs and taught grades 1-5. After returning to Iron County, Kathleen was the organist at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian. May she rest in peace. Kathleen is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian with Fr. Daniel Fosu to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
