Kenton J. King, age 71, Caspian, MI died Monday, October 27, 2008 at Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, WI. Born: August 2, 1937 in Crystal Falls, MI The son of the late Stephen and Adaline (Jarvis) King was a lifelong resident. He attended the Stambaugh schools and graduated from Stambaugh High School. He served in the U.S. Army as an engineer equipment mechanic for three years. Kenton married the former Rosalie Grandelis on August 27, 1967 in Wakefield. MI and the couple made their home in Caspian. They celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary this year. He worked for Zukowski Iron and Metal Company for 25 years and was later employed as the animal control officer in Iron County for ten years. He then worked in maintenance for the Americ Inn of Iron River. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Caspian. He was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, and working in his garden. He is survived by his wife Rosalie Two sons; Tom (Debra) King of Iron River David (Ancella) King of Caspian Two daughters; Patricia (Curtis) Soderbloom of Iron River Rebecca King of Okemos, MI One brother. Keith (Marge ) King of Crystal Falls, MI Three sisters; Karen (Richard) Groop of Williamston, MI Klaryce Bilski of Gaastra Katherine (Joseph) Fittante of Caspian 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren Nieces and nephews Visitation: Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian. Funeral Service: Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Caspian with Rev. Otto Sartorelli to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The West Side Veterans Council will accord Military Rites. Interment: Stambaugh Cemetery, Iron River Funeral arrangements by the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron River.
