Kurt J. Paro

Kurt J. Paro, age 62, of Iron River, MI, passed away January 22, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born May 11, 1953 in Iron River, the son of the late Kurt and Phyllis (Bialik) Paro. Kurt attended the Iron River Schools and graduated from West Iron County High School in 1971. Kurt was an announcer on WIKB for over 30 years. He currently worked at guest services at Lac Vieux Desert Resort Casino in Watersmeet, MI. He was a former member of the Iron River Elks Lodge. Kurt enjoyed selling cars in the area and spending time with his dog and parrot. Kurt is survived by his special friend, Jim Cooper of Iron River; brother, Ken “Butch” Andree of Caspian, MI; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with funeral services to follow at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Dawn Treado Green to officiate.
