Larry L. Aschenbach

Larry L. Aschenbach, age 80, of Iron River, MI, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Aspirus Iron River Hospital. He was born on June 12, 1940 in Manitowoc, WI, the son of the late Lester and Dorothy (Bernhardt) Aschenbach. He attended the Oconomowoc, WI Schools, graduating in 1958. Larry married Harriet Clements on August 1, 1964 in Manitowoc, WI. The couple celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary this year. He loved woodworking and made outdoor furniture, lawn chairs, and NFL ornaments. Over the years, Larry worked at Coleman Products for 13 years, Lakeshore Inc. for five years, and the Lac Vieux Desert Casino for seven years. In 1992, Larry and his sons began painting houses in Iron County and the surrounding areas. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time at camp and playing cribbage. Larry is survived by his wife, Harriet; sons, Bradley (Sarah Lambert) Aschenbach of Bates Twp., MI and Thomas (Kylie Stapleton) Aschenbach of Caspian, MI; daughter, Gina Mae (Curt) Myers of Lawton, OK; grandchildren, Tashiena Aschenbach, Alicia Aschenbach, and Curtis Myers; brothers, Lester (Pam) Aschenbach, Richard (Debbie) Aschenbach, Rickey (Becci) Aschenbach, and Jack (Debbie) Aschenbach; sisters, Joann (Gary) Miesfide, Karen Aschenbach, Lori (Keith) Borth, Jill (Dave) Seafeld, Marilyn (Jeff) Zimmerman, and Lynn Bogenschuzz; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by sons, Gregory Scott Aschenbach, Chad Lester Aschenbach, and Larry Aschenbach, Jr. Services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
